Internal components
External components

Internal:
Motherboard, Hard Disk, Processor, RAM( Read Access Memory), ROM(Read Only Memory), Floppy drive, Slots…..

Slots types:
ISA (new)
Small size, fast, high speed,
PCI (old)
Big size, low speed
 
These cards are attached in ISA or PCI.
Audio card, Networking card, video card, VGA, Modem, Jumper, Cmos battery for time and date, etc…

BIOS:
Basic Input Output System. BIOS are stored in ROM. If anyone gives password to BIOS and forgets password then jumper is used. Jumper resets the old setting, IF jumper out to the main board and again put in to main board, the old setting is remove.

DIP Switches:
Dip switches are fixed on main board same just like jumper. We can see few lights on CPU like green or red , these lights are attach to Dip switches, which connect to main board.

External:

 

PS2: use for keyboard/mouse

USB: use for flash/mouse/keyboard/cam/etc.

VGA: use for connect monitor to CPU.

Printer port: use for printer connects to CPU. This port also uses to connect 2 computers.

COM2 port used serial port. It is used to attach serial devices to PC just like USB but it has more pins and older type of port. It is alternate port.

Multimedia ports: consist on three main functions. One for audio mean speaker headphone. Second is used for mic and third is used of line in
